Development of a pump to replace the existing APP44-150

The customer's existing SULZER APP44-150 pump had reached the end of its service life and could no longer provide reliable operation. Therefore, the customer required a new pump to replace APP44-150 the existing pump.

Replacing an industrial pump does not come down to choosing equipment with similar flow and pressure. In this project, the new pump had to provide the required hydraulic performance while being compatible with the existing piping, foundation and installation layout.

The customer specifically indicated that the replacement pump must meet the following requirements:

Based on the operating conditions and technical requirements of the customer, Time Rolling analyzed the required pump characteristics, materials, connection and installation dimensions.

The new replacement pump APP44-150 was then designed and manufactured to the agreed specifications.
